Just as the name suggests, Backflow preventers prevent the backwards flow of the wastewater into the homes and buildings.
This is a very crucial function, especially in flood prone areas and in monsoon months.

All infrastructures must have Sewer backflow preventer and drainage backflow preventer installed at crucial points along with access chambers to ensure that the faults in the drainage systems outside do not prompt the wastewater to flow backwards, back inside the buildings.
Sewer backflow valve installation takes place just outside the building where the building’s drainage system mergers with the external drainage system. This installation ensures that outside waste does not flow back in.
