CPVC Union Introduction
CPVC pipe unions work almost everywhere in a plumbing system where two pipes need to be joined together but at the same time giving provision for dis-assembly in future for maintenance purposes. A CPVC Union fitting consists of 2 parts which have one end each for making solvent cement joint with CPVC pipes. These two parts sandwich a rubber washer in between and are then assembled together with a threaded Nut which when tightened forms a leak free joint.
CPVC pipe unions are compatible with both hot and cold water and can withstand higher temperatures in comparison with the other thermoplastic unions. Installation costs of CPVC union fittings are very low and they work efficiently with the heating systems.
CPVC Unions are generally used where ever fixtures such as valves, pumps, filters etc are connected to the pipeline.
